What is a waterproof micro switch (IP67), and where is it used?

IP67 means fully dust-tight plus short-term immersion (1 m depth for 30 min). Using rubber sealing rings and epoxy potting, it works stably in sprayed-water, dusty, high-humidity environments—typically automotive rain exposure, outdoor HVAC, dishwashers, charging piles, agricultural/construction machinery and other harsh conditions.
